Expiration Date

We can make it work if we try hard enough
The biggest lie ever told, to tell the truth
We've all been hurt, we've all be scared
But we still carry hope, a false security

Its short and it comes at you hard
let me tell you, Love has an expiration date
Don't let it catch you off guard
I'm just too weak to be your cure
You'll have to take my word on this one
let me tell you, Love has an expiration date

There's nothing to do in times like these
Just take your shovel and begin to dig
It only needs to be a small shallow grave
just big enough for you to stumble into

We can make it work if we try
If we try, If we try
Oh we can make it work if we try

Its short and it comes at you hard
let me tell you, Love has an expiration date
Don't let it catch you off guard
I'm just too weak to be your cure
You'll have to take my word on this one
let me tell you, Love has an expiration date

But we can make it work if we try
if we try, If we try
Oh we can make it work if we try

Like This Song

you're going to destroy me
gut me from the inside out
Take it as a compliment
it's just hard to let it go

In my mind there's no doubt
but I need this one thing
Relieve the poisonous sting
so you can sleep better at night

I know you're going to like this song
Tell all your closet friends
how it's me that is wrong
Oh I know you're going to like this song

Look me straight in the eyes
and tell me none of it was lies
Confirm me to my face
the original story still flies

Because it's what I need to hear
just to go on I'm telling you,
one of these days I'll be strong

I know you're going to like this song
Tell all your closet friends
how it's me that is wrong
I know you're going to like this song

Look me straight in the eyes
and tell me none of it was lies
Confirm it to my face
the original story still flies

Because it's what I need to hear
just to go on I'm telling you,
one of these days I'll be strong

And oh, I know you're going to like this song.

Playing With Fire

Let the pieces that scare you
all fall into place
Maybe, just maybe We'll disappear
and not leave a trace.

Is it within this realm to see
A better place consisting of you and me
Am I just being out of line
To think in the end we'll do just fine
Is it ever too much to be playing with fire

But oh it's going to take
a little more push than pull
I've not been one to fake
What's inside so oh do tell

Let's bring it all back down
Play it all off as just low-key
Then the best I'll be able to do
Is to just be there, and be me

Is it within this realm to see
A better place consisting of you and me
Am I just being out of line
To think in the end we'll do just fine
Is it ever too much to be playing with fire

We're going to sit back and watch it burn
Hand in hand, laughing about the past
We're going to sit back and watch it burn
Hand in hand, playing in the ash
We're going to sit back and watch it burn

Worthwhile

For once in my life
I want to feel
What it's like
to have something real

But now I know
that I'm destined
For nervous eyes
and awkward goodbyes

So for just this once
Give me something
I can call worthwhile
Something worth the wait

For once in my life
I want to feel
What it's like
to watch you bleed

To know for once that you
Yeah you Are drowning
In your own decisions
And to laugh in your face

So for just this once
Give me something
I can call worthwhile
Something worth the wait
Something worth the wait

She Goes Around

Oh we know exactly how you do
Hips push and pull in the dark
Exchanging all this body heat
Leaves you feeling oh so cold

One day you'll see a relevation
When you glimsp at your reflection
Cut apart yourself section by section
When will it be.

When did you transform into this
Someone that no one ever knew
Did you even see it coming
Or was it what you planned all along

What do you get out of all this
Besides a fake sense of satisfaction
that you got while laying under sheets
When will your head and heart meet

One day you'll see a relevation
When you glimsp at your reflection
Cut apart yourself section by section
When will it be.

Search Warrent

I'm going to need
to see all of your papers
Before I let you dare
step foot into this place

And when they break down the door to my soul
What is it they will find
All the lies and fears, tucked away
all the things I try to keep inside

This a violation to my senses
It leaves me sick and feeling dry
If I just leave it all behind
Then I'll loose the will to try

I never was one for authority
When it arrests all of my desires
Takes me bound and tethered
And toses me into the raging fires

And when they break down the door to my soul
What is it they will find
All the lies and fears, tucked away
all the things I try to keep inside

So I'm going to need
to see all of your papers
Before I let you dare
Step foot inside this place

Set your Anchor

So a lot of songs use water as a metaphor. I wanted to try. Ha.

Find what you love
And set your Anchor
Because you don't know
When the storm will come

Fighting the squals
But why should you care?
Bow breaking over rocks
but why should you care?
Beginning to drown
But why should you care?

After the storm has cleared
Left stranded in the ocean
Who'll be first to give in
Let the water take their lungs

One of us is a winner
Who'll make it on their own
The other can't swim
And will rest on the bottom

Fighting the squals
But why should you care?
Bow breaking over rocks
but why should you care?
Beginning to drown
But why should you care?

So find what you love
Set down your anchor
Just try to make sure
The ship isn't resting
Beside it on the bottom

You Can Never Be Sure

We've been talking about our lives
Like we've been this way forever
What you don't know is that I strive
to find another one, just like you

There's no more need for apologies
We knew it was going to end this way
I just need to find a new strategy
to find another one, just like you

You can never be sure
That love wont walk out of your life
don't take it for granted
Hold on tight, try not to let go.
Of what you have.

Silence, it can be louder than words
and can leave you in a happier place
One where you can look past all the pain
Vanish and never leave a trace

Silence, it's me screaming for anything
looking hard to find a happier place
One where I can look past all the pain
It's time I stand and state my case

You can never be sure
That love wont walk out of your life
don't take it for granted
Hold on tight, try not to let go.
Of what you have.
For you just might not ever
find it again.

An old one

I forgot about this one, It's from last month.  Doesn't mean anything now, but why not put it up.

About You

The coffee in the room flows hot and fast
Just like the feelings exerted by me
Feelings I think were finally real
There's so much more you just don't see

You're showing you're full of much self-doubt
that you're just no good for me
Well don't tell me I can do better
There's so much more you just don't see

i wasn't looking for you in the first place
you stumbled in my life
and now i'm hooked on you
good or bad, i just might stick it through

I wonder where it was I started to loose it
You on stage in a soft pink light
I fought and I fought so hard to hide it
stuck in thd midst of all confusions

I have to tell you that I love to feel your warmth
lately I've been feeling way too cold
I know you say that you've been broken, well so have I
If you trust me we could put ourselves together again.

i wasn't looking for you in the first place
you stumbled in my life
and now i'm hooked on you
good or bad, i just might stick it through

The coffe in the room flows hot and fast.
My eyes meet yours, locked in staring
yea did you notice everyone has vanished
See you have this crazy way of doing that

you have this crazy way about you
this crazy away about you.

about you, I'm stuck now
I know it seems this is crazy
about you, I'm stuck now
I'm hanging on your every word
about you...
about you...

First of how many?

I think I'm going to start putting together some songs.  Most, if not all, of the songs will suck, but what the hell.  I'm bored.

Here's the first one...

Letting Go

The look in your eyes said everything
that to you it wasn't anything
When finally the words are at a loss
And there's no such thing as a letdown

Oh the hardest part of letting go
is letting go of something you never had at all
When you suddenly know that you are
letting a make believe world you've built crumble and fall

Looking back there was never a chance
Let this moment pass swiftly in time
So we can get back to where we were,
Back to the start of comfortable talks

In the dark we hide our feelings
of the guilt and regret we feel
When finally the words are at a loss
And there's no such thing as a let down

Oh the hardest part of letting go
is letting go of something you never had at all
When you suddenly know that you are
letting a make believe world you've built crumble and fall

The hardest part, The hardest part
Things are growing, time is slowing
The hardest part, the hardest part
Hearts are flowing, time is slowing
The harest part, the hardest part

Of letting go...
Of letting go...
